Kenneth Howard Slack, 79, of Malvern, PA passed away May 16, 2022.
Born June 1, 1942 in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Benjamin Howard Slack and Alice Slack (nee Ward).
He graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Business Administration and obtained his CPA license. He had been in public accounting in the West Chester area for more than 30 years, providing services to both local and international clients. Prior to that he worked in the manufacturing and distribution industries as a senior financial executive in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Since 2004, he had been on the Board of Directors of Meridian Bank. He also served on the board of Chester County Hospital and previously, on Camp Cadet of Chester County and the United Way of Chester County.
Ken enjoyed fishing, reading, fireworks displays and travel, especially to foreign locations. Earlier in his life, he also enjoyed flying his Cessna airplane.
Ken is survived by his wife, Faye (nee Wimmer); his children, Thomas and Douglas Slack; his grandchildren, Isabella and Rosemary Slack; his sister, Geraldine Pessolano; his sister-in-law, Nancy Keil; his nieces, Meredith Scott and Karen Banick; and his nephew, Christopher Sink. He was also blessed with many close friends and associates.
A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s name to the Paoli Hospital Foundation Nursing Excellence Fund or to a charity of your choice.
