Kimberly J. Rago

Kimberly J. Rago, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by family.

Born on October 19, 1956, in Ridley Park, Kim was known for her warmth, creativity, and unique humor. Her creative spirit knew no bounds, whether she was sewing Halloween costumes from scratch for her children, meticulously decorating the family Christmas tree, cooking a new recipe, or finding the most fashionable outfits and the best sales.

Her passion for creating extended beyond her family as she shared her talents with her community. Kim sewed banners for St. Francis of Assisi Church, made costumes for the Christmas Tableau, decorated the church for the holidays, and spent countless hours crafting for the annual Christmas Bazaar.

As a mother, Kim was loving and dedicated. A stay-at-home mom, she was always there for her children after school and involved in their activities. Kim was a Girl Scout leader and taught altar servers at St. Francis. She instilled in her children the values of compassion, resilience, and generosity, and they were proud to have her as their mom.

As a friend, Kim's ability to make others feel special and loved was unmatched. Her friends will remember her fondly as they continue a tradition she created of spending the first weekend in October in Cape May, NJ. We also like to picture her walking with friends around the track or sitting on the beach with a good book, a cigarette, and a cold Diet Coke.

Kim is predeceased by her parents, Frances Brangan (nee Pollino) and George Brangan, and her brother, George Brangan. She is survived by family and friends who will cherish the many happy years they shared with her, and her legacy will live on through the beautiful memories she created with them. Her family finds solace in thinking of her as being at peace and surrounded by love.

A memorial Mass to celebrate Kim's life will be held on April 12, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made towards rebuilding St. Francis of Assisi School. https://sfaschool.com/donatetosfa
