Laurence Robert Cusack

Laurence “Larry” Robert Cusack, a beloved husband, father, brother, and respected tax attorney, passed away on September 27th, 2024, at the age of sixty. 

Born on October 21st, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, Larry was the son of Thomas Martin Cusack, Jr. and Gertrude Rosemary Cusack (née Martin). Growing up in Port Richmond and later moving throughout PA, Larry was a proud alumnus of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, The University of Scranton, and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. His sharp intellect and commitment to excellence earned him a reputation as a trusted and diligent attorney throughout his career.

Deeply committed to his family, Larry resided in Bryn Mawr, PA, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Cusack (née Schubert), with whom he shared many wonderful years. He was the proud father of three sons: Thomas Schubert Cusack, Peter Joseph Cusack (Amanda Cusack), and Christopher Laurence Cusack, the lights of his life. 

Larry’s dedication to his family was matched by his love for his siblings: Thomas Martin Cusack III, Martin John Cusack, Anita Marie Cook (née Cusack), and Robert Martin Cusack. He lovingly took on the role of Uncle to Patrick, Caroline, Angus, Josephine, Julia, Robert Jr., Andrew and Ann Marie.

Larry could often be found at Aronimink Golf Club, where he served as the club Treasurer and enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing golf. He was known for his kind heart, love for animals (Copper, Ralphie, and Baloo) and genuine affection for all. His warmth, humor, and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Our Mother of Good Counsel in Bryn Mawr, PA, with Visitation on Friday, October 4th from 9:30-11:00 AM with a Mass to follow.
