Leo F. Chessock

Leo F. Chessock, 88, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 18, 2023.

Born in Mildred, PA in 1934, he was the son of the late Michael and Virginia (née Wisniewski) Chessock.

He was the loving husband of Kathleen A. (née McCullough) Chessock; loving father of Nancy Pen (Fredo), Michael Chessock (Jill), John Chessock (Amy), Linda Bradley (Michael), Lisa Chessock (Clint); step-father of Allison Poster and Katie Herring (Jeff); dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores Robbins Chessock; and sisters, Helen Krzywicki and Irene Lofting.

Leo was a proud Navy Veteran and a graduate of Villanova University, where he earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Leo loved to follow his grandchildren’s activities and his beloved Villanova Wildcats. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends and was especially fond of picking steamed crabs on the banks of the York River. He passionately believed in giving back to the community through literacy programs and community leadership. He was often found on the golf course or seated in the bleachers lending his support. His spirit will be forever remembered by all who cherished him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Katharine of Siena, Wayne, PA followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment Private.
