Leo Sides, Jr.

Leo A. Sides, Jr., age 71, a resident of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on May 21, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Leo A. Sides, Sr. and Elizabeth Sides (nee MacLellan). Leo was a graduate of Upper Darby High School.



Leo served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed as a Police Officer from October 7, 1968 to March 15, 1999 with the Upper Darby Police Department.



He was predeceased by his son Christopher in 2011. He is survived by his wife Catherine E. Sides (nee Dietrich), his children Leo A. III (Kathleen), Steven (Diane), Deborah (Albert) Somers, Diane (Michael) Reynolds, his grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Melissa, Steven, Ashlee, Caitlyn, Michael, Allison and Tyler, and his siblings William (Carol) Sides, Barbara (Paul) Reynolds, Glen (Tammy) Sides, Shirlee (Joe) Kelly and Jeanne (the late Thomas) Sewell.
