Lillian P. Root (nee Pancotti), 91, of West Chester, passed away on November 17, 2016.
Born in 1925 in Ludlow, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (nee Davio) Pancotti. Lillian was an avid card player and she enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a devout Catholic and an active volunteer throughout her whole life. Lillian adored her family and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald C. Root; loving mother of Dawn M. Moore (Jeff) and Donald J. Root (Diane); dear sister of "Rollo" Pancotti; adoring grandmother of Austin Moore, Brandon Moore, Stephanie Root, and Daniel Root; predeceased by her siblings Jean Titus, Louis Pancotti, and "V" Pancotti.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 4:00-5:30 PM Monday, November 21, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 5:30 PM. Interment will be at a later date in Norfolk, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2004 Sproul Rd, Ste 208, Broomall, PA 19008.
