Loraine L. "Rainey" McCord (nee Lassell), age 86, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on November 26, 2015.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold G. and Alice L. Lassell (nee Onion). Loraine was a 1948 graduate of West Philadelphia High School. Loraine's family moved to Delaware County in the late 1950's. She was a great homemaker, who loved to cook. She was very involved in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She moved to Broomall in the 1980's.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. McCord, and her sons James Hochberg and Bob McCord (the late Janice). She is survived by her children Donna Curry (Dan), Joyce Farley (the late Jim), David Hochberg, Sr., Kimberly Seitz (Paul), Mike McCord and her daughter-in-law Randa Hochberg. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and her first husband Francis Hochberg.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, December 5, 2015 9:30-10:50 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike Newtown Square, Pa. 19073 and to her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 125 S. 9th Street, Suite 202, Philadelphia, PA 19107 would be appreciated.
