Loraine Schramm

Loraine Schramm (nee Tonjes), age 100, of Audubon, PA, formerly of Redding, CT, passed away on March 13, 2014. Born in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Loraine Tonjes (nee Christie). Mrs. Schramm had been employed as an Administrative Assistant for Calvin K. Kazanjian Economics Foundation in Redding, CT.



She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Loraine was a wonderful cook and hostess. Loraine was the only living charter member of the Redding Garden Club. She was also a member of the Altar Guild of Christ Church Parish, Redding Connecticut, for many years.



Loraine is survived by her daughters Judith S. (J. Lee) Westrate, Linda (the late Donald) Bergquist and Christie (Sherwin) Day, her sister Barbara (Earl) Douglas, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John C. Schramm, 1 grandson and her siblings George Tonjes, Ruth Kelly and Carol Heading.
