Tina Brubaker, a lifelong resident of Wynnewood, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 7, 1939, Tina grew up in Penn Wynne and graduated from Lower Merion High School. She went on to earn a professional diploma in dental hygiene from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry.
On April 18, 1959, Tina married the love of her life, Bill Brubaker. Together, they raised their family in the same house where Tina spent her childhood. Tina worked part-time as a dedicated dental hygienist, retiring after many fulfilling years in her profession. In support of her daughters’ swimming endeavors, Tina also officiated swim meets. She was a very accomplished swim official at both the high school and collegiate level, gaining the respect of her peers and athletes alike.
Tina was best known for her artistic talents, particularly her love for ceramics. Her home studio became a creative haven where she taught weekly classes, sharing her passion and skills with others. With great care and creativity, Tina crafted stunning ceramic pieces that she proudly showcased and sold at craft fairs.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Tina’s happiest moments were spent at the beach. Her family holds treasured memories of annual vacations to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, where she reveled in the company of her children and grandchildren. In later years, Tina and Bill purchased a home in Margate, New Jersey, where they spent many summers creating a welcoming retreat filled with laughter, love, and joy for family and friends.
Tina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Brubaker. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Pavletich (Tom) and Sandy Ward (Tom), as well as her five grandchildren: Caroline Shedd (Nick), Ryan Persofsky, Patrick Ward, Laura Persofsky, and Brad Persofsky. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Bowen Shedd.
In accordance with Tina’s wishes, a private memorial will be held for her immediate family. Her family invites you to honor Tina’s life in your own special way, reflecting on your personal memories of her.
