Loretta O'Brien

Loretta C. OBrien of Media, PA and Surf City, NJ died at Bryn Mawr Hospital on Friday, February 26, 2016. Affectionately known to one and all as Bunny, she was born and raised in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. A proud graduate of Chestnut Hill College, she was active in alumni affairs and enjoyed returning to the College for reunion weekends.



Bunny was happily married to Jack O'Brien for over 50 years, until his death in 2005. She lived family life at her home in Media, and especially Summers at the shore in Surf City.



Bunny was a wonderful example of love, graciousness, courage and tenacity who will be missed by her family and friends.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalen Church 2400 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Chestnut Hill College, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 would be appreciated.
