Lorraine B. Bacher

Lorraine B. Bacher (née Starkey), age 93, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on December 7, 2023. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Lorraine was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (née Gallagher) Starkey.

Lorraine was the devoted wife, for 71 years, of the late William “Bill” R. Bacher. They were inseparable and hopelessly committed to each other.  There was no greater love than the love they shared.

Lorraine was the beloved mother of William R. Bacher (Rose), Lynn B. McKee (Gerry) and Pamela A. Fleuette (Andy).  She was an incredible role model, a best friend and a guiding light for each of them.

She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Rick), Billy (Dana), Chris, Kim (Kevin), Gerard (Liz), Michael (Meghan), Emilie and 10 great-grandchildren.  She loved them dearly and was so proud of each of them.  No matter how grand or simple, every detail of their lives brought her joy and happiness.

Lorraine is the sister-in-law of Charles Bacher (Nancy) and predeceased by her brother-in law James Bacher (Norma) and her sister-in-law Margaret McMichael (Philip).

Lorraine brought love, comfort and happiness to all who knew her.  Simply put, she was one of a kind, the very best kind.  She leaves behind a family and friends who loved her beyond measure, who will treasure her always, never forgetting the lasting impact that she had on their lives.

Lorraine was a person of great faith with a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.  She was a long-time member of Saints Peter & Paul Parish in West Chester.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services and internment will be private for the immediate family.
