Louis Martin, age 88, of Upper Darby, on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Devoted and beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Dougherty) Vassallo; loving father of Linda L. Rishel (Doug), Michael M. Vassallo (Joan), Stephen L. Vassallo, and Dorothy Ann Parker (Bill); dear grandfather of Michael, Laura, and Sarah Vassallo and Lianna Rishel.
Louis was a devoted family man. He was kind and generous, always willing to lend a helping hand.
A long time volunteer fireman with the Highland Park Fire Company, Lou proudly served our country in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, and worked as a mechanic for Boeing Vertol.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday Eve, December 3, 2014 and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA, (610) 449-0300. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA, 19082. Interment will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
