Lucy R. Dorazio

Lucy R. Dorazio, age 96, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, sadly passed away on January 17, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Agata (née George) Celani. 

A dedicated professional, she enjoyed a fulfilling career, in later life, as a clerical supervisor with Erie Insurance, that exemplified her diligence and leadership which was well recognized by her peers. 

An adventurous spirit in her youth, Lucy enjoyed archery, horseback riding, and bowling, showcasing her zest for life. As she grew, her passions transformed into nurturing the earth becoming an avid floral and vegetable gardener. Her creativity blossomed also with crafts, where she found solace and joy in sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embarking on various craft projects.  

Lucy was a beloved figure amongst her family and friends. She had a deep passion for cooking and found joy in entertaining those she loved. Lucy held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, taking great delight in spoiling them, particularly with cherished family vacations down the shore. 

Lucy was the beloved wife of the late Marco E. Dorazio Jr.; the loving mother of Marcia D. Tate (George), Marco E. Dorazio III, and Bernadette A. Dorazio (Dave Gallus). She was the devoted and caring grandmother of Corrina, Danielle, Marco IV, and Darienne. She also had four great-grandchildren, David, Joey, Kylie and Meadow. 

Relatives and friends are invited to honor Lucy’s life at her services beginning with a Viewing, Monday, January 27, 2025, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-3600, followed by a Funeral Service, beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
