Lydia Marjorie "Marge" Dougherty (nee Star), 89, formerly of Fairfax, VA, passed away on December 5, 2016.
Born in North Platte, NE in 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie (nee Tetterton) Star. Marge enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of James B. Dougherty, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; loving mother of Carol Huxta (Mark) and Brian Dougherty; devoted grandmother of Kristin (Larry), Rebecca, Stephen, Jennifer, and Matthew; dear sister of George Star, Jr., the late John Glen Star, and the late Mildred Bignell; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, December 12, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marge's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
