Maartje J. Daly

Maartje Johanna Daly “Marion”, 86, of Exton, PA, formerly of Downingtown, PA, passed away January 15, 2025.

Born August 7, 1938 in The Netherlands, she was a daughter of the late Cornelis Rinze and Elizabeth (Borgmeijer) van der Zee.

Marion was an avid gardener and reader. She enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the beach and above all loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Marion was the beloved wife of the late Hubert V. Daly, Jr.; loving mother of Elizabeth Daly, Paul Daly (Patricia), and Paula Popio; adoring “Oma” of Brandy Basque, Michael Daly, Matthew Daly, Alexis Daly, Christian Popio, Andrew Popio, and Phil Tocci; proud great-grandmother of 5; and dear sister of Johanna Elizabeth “Anneke” Oppedijk-van der Zee (Douwe). She was predeceased by her son, Hubert “Hugh” Daly, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 6, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2024 at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown.
