Margaret (Marge) Mattern Glennon passed away at her home in Newtown Square, PA on August 22, 2018.
She was born on November 6, 1935 in Miami, Florida and was the daughter of John and Alice Swan Mattern.
Shortly after she was born her family moved to Forty Fort, PA where she became the oldest of 5 siblings

Mary Alice (Molly Penny), Jeanne (Chaney), John and Michael.
She attended Forty Fort High School and Harcum Junior College in Bryn Mawr, PA where she earned an associate's degree and was the captain of the swim team.
Marge's first job was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Stenographic Supervisor.
After a few years she married, settled in Wayne, PA and had three children.
When her children were still in school she worked as an administrative assistant at New Eagle Elementary School.
After that she moved on to
Glaxosmithkline as an administrative assistant and retired after 20+ years.
Marge loved to travel and had been all over the world

Alaska, London, Russia, Dubai, Tahiti, Jordan, Australia, and Hong Kong to name a few.
She was a charitable giver and lifelong volunteer.
Her causes included a role as a campaign manager for local school board candidates, an Election Day clerk, and a member of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), a Den Mother, and a supporter of Surrey Services.
Perhaps what she is most well known for is for her 40+ years as a volunteer with the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair.
She started volunteering in the early ‘70s working at the Garden Café for 10 years and was the Chairman of the Paper Palace for 25 years.
Any chance she could get she sold chances, recruited volunteers and held every job in between.
She was also the Chairman of the Devon Derby Committee for the past 18 years.
She was the ultimate volunteer!
Marge was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne, her brother John and most recently her sister Molly.
She is survived by her brother Michael Mattern of Duxbury, MA and her three children Michael, Bruce and Jeanne (Carter) and eight grandchildren

Visiting hours are from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a 1:00 pm Memorial Service.
