Margaret Ann Gould

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Gould, 65, of West Chester, PA, passed away October 26, 2022.

Born July 21, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Frances (nee Janssen) Travers.

Peggy was a dedicated and caring nurse. Her career started at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, Pa. She then moved on to private duty nursing for many years. She worked at Leader Nursing Home (re-named Manor Care during her 25 year tenure). She cared for and provided comfort to many. She loved being a nurse and helping people. She engrained the importance of service to others to her children. Her children followed in her footsteps of helping others by becoming an emergency responder, and a massage therapist.

Peggy enjoyed nature, animals, camping, and spending time with her granddaughter Piper. Peggy was an avid camper and enjoyed spending time at the family campsite along the Salem River in Pilesgrove, New Jersey. Peggy loved animals and spent her life surrounded by numerous pets. Peggy enjoyed laughing and spending time with her loved ones and friends.

Peggy was the loving mother of John P. Gould, III. (Melissa) and Colleen Williams; adoring grandmother of Piper Leigh Williams; dear sister of Theresa Jarrell (John), Joan Travers, Thomas J. Travers (Karen), and Stephen Travers (Deborah); and caring aunt and cousin to many. She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Fanucci.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, 10 am to 11 am, Friday, November 11, 2022; at St. Agnes Church, 233 W Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am.
