Margaret "Peg" R. Harkins (nee, Perri), 91, of Glen Mills, PA and formerly of Downingtown passed away on October 5, 2017.
Born in 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, Margaret was the daughter of the late Angelo and Lillian (Harrison) Perri.
She worked as a nurse in the medical field.
Margaret was the loving mother of Peg Haller (John) of West Chester, Lillian Decker (Bruce) of West Chester, James Harkins (Tammy) of Coudersport, PA & Marco Island, FL and Kathe Morris (Peter) of West Chester, PA; loving grandmother of John M. Haller, Ryan Haller, Aimee Haller Follis, Matt Decker, Kara Decker Sowden, Kelly Harkins Smith, Brad Harkins, Evan Morris, Tyler Morris and Lee Morris; and dear great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers, Pete & Bud, her former husband, James F. Harkins, Sr. and her grandson, James F. Harkins, III.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and 8:45-9:45 AM Tuesday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 East Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
