Margaret M. "Peggy" Kane (nee McClafferty), age 79, of Havertown, PA, formerly of South West Philadelphia, PA passed away on November 16, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Cornelious and Mary McClafferty (nee McGinley).
Peggy was enthusiastic about sports, particularly Notre Dame Football. She enjoyed traveling to Donegal, Ireland, Ocean City New Jersey, and the Indian Mountain Lakes in the Poconos. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and laughing with her family.
Peggy was the beloved wife of John J. Kane, Jr.; loving mother of John J. Kane (Jane), Brian M. Kane and Christopher M. Kane; and dear grandmother of Dillon, Kylie and Jack Kane. Peggy was predeceased by her siblings Cornelious "Junior" McClafferty, Sara Scully (Jim) and Mary Denning (George).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 or Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA 30309 would be appreciated.
