Margaret Louisa Hughes

Margaret Louisa Hughes (nee McKee), age 86, of Harleysville, PA, passed away, with family by her side, on October 25, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born in Castledawson, Ireland in 1937, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Brigid (nee Gallagher) McKee. Louise (Lou) was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Lansdale, PA. Lovingly known as G, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and her grand-pets.  Louise (Lou) cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with family, taking beach vacations, attending Phillies games, watching Philadelphia and Penn State sports, and spending time with friends.

Louise (Lou) was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Hughes; loving mother of Anthony Hughes (Monica), Bridget Herber (Gavin), and Kevin Hughes; cherished grandmother of Ryan (Abby), Luke (Emily), Morgan (Drew), Nicholas, and Brian; dear sister of Mary and Hughie; predeceased by her siblings, Jenny, John, Sonny, Louise, Tommy, Charlie, and Jim; and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery. Mass will be livestreamed at 11:00 AM HERE
