Margaret M. "Marge" Markert

Margaret M. “Marge” Markert (nee Peranteau), 74, passed into the arms of her Savior on January 31, 2025 after a brave battle with breast cancer.

Marge loved spending time with family and pets, shopping for all things sparkly, and maintaining her collections of antique jewelry and porcelain dolls. She was very proud of the time she spent in the field of nursing.

Marge is survived by her children, Annette Alexander (Jeffery), Michele LaPenna, Marjorie Walton (Doug), and David K. Markert. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christina Sowers (Patrick), Cherylynn Alexander, Michael Kulp, Matthew Alexander, Krista Jackson, Brianna Jackson, Isaac Walton, and Abigail Walton, and her great-granddaughter, Emma Sowers. She is also survived by three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her beloved husband, David C. Markert, had already gone ahead to prepare their place in Heaven.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
