Margaret "Peg" Gordon

We are heart-broken to announce the passing of our mom, Margaret "Peg" Gordon (née McGowan), of Drexel Hill, PA, who passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Aloysius and Margaret Bernadette (née Julien) McGowan.

Peg was an amazing person.  From chicken salad lunches and bridge, to traveling around the world with her husband, Dr. Joseph Gordon "Flash". They would spend great times dining, dancing, or just hanging around the house with pizza and Cold Duck or a very dry Martini. Peg assisted Flash with his practice and managed his office while also watching her grandchildren at the same time. They came to refer to her as “G-money” from hanging around the Country Club while Flash would swim. Much of the later years, she would enjoy knitting or doing the crossword puzzles - in pen mind you - and watching Jeopardy. She had a sweet smile and wonderful wit.

Peg was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph Gordon; the loving mother of Peggy Liberatoscioli (Dennis), John McCullough (Leeann), Leo McCullough, and Kate McCullough.  She was the devoted grandmother of Danielle, Dante, Conner, Brandon, and Colin.  She is also survived by her two step-daughters, Deboroh Ann Gordon and Janet Gordon-Thatcher (Dennis), as well as her siblings, Joseph McGowan (Linda), Lynn Maslo (Tom), Anne Sweeney (the late Bill), and Maryjo McGowan (Paul Pickens), and many nieces and nephews.  Peg is predeceased by her sisters, Eileen Duffy (Bill) and Teresa McGettigan (the late John).  She will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Monday, August 1, 2022, 10:00 – 11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by her Funeral Service, 11:30 AM.  Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
