Margaret Phelps

Margaret A. "Marge" Phelps, nee Batts, age 82, of Wallingford, PA, passed away on April 29, 2018. Born in Tipton, Indiana, Margaret was the daughter of the late Walter Judson and Beatrice (nee Leavitt) Batts. She was a employed as a teacher assistant for the Cedar Grove Christian Academy in Philadelpha, PA. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Wilbert R. Phelps, Sr.; the loving mother of Cynthia Hoyt, Catherine Wagner, Wilbert "Bud" Phelps, Jr. (Jeanne), Caren Barral (Dan), and Christine Phelps; the cherished grandmother of Steve, Raquel, Cherylann, Toni Marie, Andria, Kathryn Margaret, Michael, Sara, Samantha, and Nicholas; as well as great grandmother to 10 great-grandchildren, sister of Gene Batts, Charles "Jack" Batts, (Kah) , sister-in-law of William Phelps(Teresa) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Margaret is predeceased by her siblings, the late William Batts, Sara Jo Campbell, and Rosalie Plake. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Friday, May 4, 2018, 1:30 - 2:50 PM at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 716 Amosland Road, Morton, PA 19070, followed by her Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions Margaret's name to the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 716 Amosland Road, Morton, PA 19070, would be appreciated.
