Margaret M. Schalch

Penny was the beloved wife of Charles “Chuck” F. Schalch; loving mother of Kimberly J. Schalch, Barbara S. Sredenschek (Tom), Carol J. Matznick (Michael), and Charles J. Schalch (Burnie); adoring grandmother of Andrew, Kevin, Kristi, Tim, Lauren, and Paige and great- grandmother of Briggs, Oakley, Ellie Mae, Hampton, Marco, and Bella; dear sister-in-law of Mary Lineman (Charlie); predeceased by her brother, Charlie Lineman.

Before retiring, Penny worked for Bell of Pennsylvania as their Director of Executive Engagement for 28 years. One of her hobbies included her love for painting. Her artwork is displayed in her home and the homes of family and friends. Penny loved reading and being a member of her book club; cooking and participating with her Bon Appetit group. She had a real knack for interior decorating.

Penny enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross in West Chester as well as the Westminster Presbyterian Church Thrift Shop.

There was nothing more important to Penny than the love she had for her husband Chuck of over 49 years, her daughter Kimberly, her other children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and close friends meant everything to her. Her other loves and enjoyment came from her poodles – Cocoa, Nik Nak and Pumpkin.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation at 10-11 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Westminster Presbyterian Church (10 W. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382) followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment private.
