Margaret Schubkegel

February 19, 1925 — August 16, 2014

Margaret Schubkegel, age 89, of Havertown, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on August 16, 2014.



Born in in Philadelphia to the late John and Catherine (nee Erk) Klein, Margaret was a graduate of Kensington Girls High School. She was part of the war effort and worked as part of the "Rosie the Riveter" group. Margaret worked as a "Lunch Lady" at Stonehurst Elementary School for 40 years until her retirement in 2003.



Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Peter and is survived by her beloved children Cathy McMenamin of Secane, PA, Lisa DePetris (Lou) of Upper Darby, PA, and Suzanne Somogy (George) of Mantua, NJ, her dear grandchildren John McMenamin, Jackie Hermann (Bill), Louis DePetris, III, Amy DePetris, Desiree Somogy and Nicole Somogy. Also survived by her great-granddaughter Valerie Hermann and her niece Dawn Swahl. Margaret was preceded in death by her grandson.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Wednesday 10:00-11:00 AM, Trinity Lutheran Church, 1141 West Chester Pike, Havertown, PA followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment, Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
