Marian E. Firby

Marian E. Firby (nee Wright), age 97, of Kennett Square, PA, formerly of Lansdowne, PA passed away on September 30, 2022.  

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lenora Wright (nee Seavella).

Marian had been employed as an Administrator for the Philadelphia School District.   She enjoyed going to the movies and traveling to Nassau, Bahamas to visit her family.

Marian was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter Firby and her son, Rev. Walter Firby, Jr.   She is survived by her loving daughters Diane Mancaruso and Joana Johnson (Lewis). Also survived by her daughter-in-law Teresa Lewis.  Dear grandmother of Debra Lewis, Donna Kaufmann (Ken), Darlene Mancaruso, Dyan Baum (Paul), and the late Robert Lewis, III, Eugene Fisher and Jerome Lewis.  Also survived by her 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by long time friend Jerry Strawberry.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Wednesday, October 5, 2022 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.   Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery, Sharon Hill, PA.
