Marianne Martin

Marianne Martin, 77, of Broomall, PA, passed away on June 1, 2021.

Born in Ithaca, NY in 1944, she was the daughter of the late Gradon Herrick and Mary Regina (nee Plumber) Middaugh.

Marianne was the beloved wife of Francis G. (Frank) Martin; loving mother of Karen M. Zimmerman, Andrew P. Martin, Patrick W. Martin, Jennifer A. Brady, Mathew L. Martin, and Brian D. Martin; adoring grandmother of Carl A. Zimmerman, lll, Rebecca M. Zimmerman, Mark F. Zimmerman, Lili T. Martin, Maggie P. Martin, Nicholas J. Brady, Sigourney J. Martin, and Skylar A. Martin; dear sister of Edward Middaugh, Theresa Faustino, Stephen Middaugh, and the late David Middaugh.

Marianne was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School. She earned her RN degree from Fitzgerald Mercy School of Nursing, her BSN in Nursing from Immaculata University and her MSNE (Nursing Education) from Villanova University. Marianne worked as a Nursing Coordinator for the County Office of the Aging until she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and researching genealogy. For a while Marianne was known as the "Guru Granny'' for all the help she gave family, friends, and coworkers in setting up and using their computers. She was a member of the PA Horticultural Society, a Master Gardner with the Penn State Extension Service and the American Wildlife Federation. Marianne was also a member of St. Pius X Church in Broomall, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9-10:30 AM Monday, June 7, 2021 at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
