Mariano "Babe" Cocco, 81, of Downingtown, PA passed away on March 31, 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1933, Babe was the son of the late Caroline (McGarigle) and Anthony Cocco.
Babe was the beloved husband of Dolores D. (Dickinson) Cocco; loving father of Wayne F. Cocco (Francine), Teresa Mazzerle (Keith), Mario J. Cocco (Marie), Marjorie L. Donohue and John A. Cocco (Charlene); loving grandfather of Crystal, Valerie, Nicki, Courtney, Desiree, Mariano, Brad, Cassie and Ryan and 3 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Mary Montani, Robert "Bobby" Cocco (Ruth) and the late Anthony Cocco.
He worked for the Downingtown Paper Mill from 1956-1974 and then for Johnson Matthey, Inc from 1974-2008.
Babe was an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia teams. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Downingtown.
Services and interment are private by family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., Ste. 204, West Chester, PA 19380 would be appreciated.
