Marie T. McCabe (nee Walsh), age 87, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Julia L. Walsh (nee Carroll). Marie was a proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School and Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for Fitzgerald-Mercy Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 40 years and retired at the age of 72 in 2000.
Marie was the beloved wife of the late Francis X. McCabe, Sr. with whom she shared 61 years of marriage and the mother of the late Joseph McCabe.
She is survived by her children Francis X. Jr. (Mary), Thomas J. (Sheila), Marie K. Stevens (Edward), Kathleen E. Gran (Andrew), Maureen J. Naselli (Francis), Bernadette T. Boylan (William), Robert N., Nicholas P. (Mary Teresa) and Julianne M. McCabe-Ranieri, and her 40 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, November 30, 2015 6:30-9:00 PM and Tuesday, December 1, 2015 8:30-10:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
