Marie McGlone

Marie McGlone “Re”, 97, of West Chester, PA, passed away June 21, 2023.

Born December 27, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Lyons) Simpson.

Graduate of West Catholic High School.

Marie was a loving and devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Born in Philadelphia, raised her family in Drexel Hill, she later moved to her favorite place, Avalon, New Jersey, which she never wanted to leave.  She valued relationships with everyone she met and had a lasting impact on all that she came across.   She loved her Philadelphia sports, her family, friends and neighbors and lived life to her fullest in her 97 years.

Re was the beloved wife of the late William H. McGlone; loving mother of Bill McGlone, Jr. (Patti), Jane Ryan (Gerry), Tom McGlone (Karen), and Mary Kay Nash (Tom); adoring grandmom of 14; and proud great-grandmom of 24, with one more on the way.  She was predeceased by her son Jack and siblings: Jim and Helen.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM, Friday, June 30, 2023 at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.
