Marie A. Rayer (nee Sharkey), 68, of Broomall, passed away on November 28, 2016.
Born in 1948 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Eleanor (nee Broskowski) Sharkey. Marie was a 1966 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School and she worked for 20+ years at TV Guide. She adored her family and especially her grandchildren and all those around them.
Marie was the beloved wife of Thomas W. Rayer, Jr.; loving mother of Thomas J. Rayer (Kimberly), Michael K. Rayer (Teresa), and Timothy B. Rayer (Christine); adoring grandmother of Alexander, Tyler, Rory, Michael, John, Susan, Meredith, William, Eleanor, Georgia, and Timmy; dear sister of Margaret Sharkey.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 and 8:30-9:30 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300 followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
