Marie Rush

Marie Isabelle Rush (nee Jordan), “Mame” age 91 of Highland Park, PA, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2020. Marie was born on October 21, 1928 in South Philadelphia to the late Edward J. Jordan and Isabelle Jordan (nee McDowell).

She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan High School in Philadelphia and worked for the Montgomery County Courthouse. Marie was an avid sports fan and a longtime parishioner of St. Laurence Church. She enjoyed vacationing in Sea Isle City, watching the Phillies, Flyers and Villanova basketball on TV and tackling any household project whether it be painting, wallpapering or putting in a linoleum floor. She was an avid shopper and had a great sense of style.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael T. Rush, Jr. and her daughter Barbara Mary Rush. She is survived by her children Michael T. Rush III, Stephen G. Rush (Christine), Rosemary I. McMullen (Richard), Sheila C. Fanelli (John), Jacqueline Ahern (Daniel) and Christopher E. Rush (Susan), 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Marie was the sister of Rita T. Callaghan and the late Edward, Jack, Anna and Andrew Jordan.

Services and Interment Private.
