Mario D. "Maxie" Alleva, age 83, of Ambler, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 16, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Ettore and Ernestine Alleva (nee Natale). Mario was a graduate of Southeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 during the Korean War on the USS Mississippi.
Mario was employed as a Sales Representative with Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals in Kenilworth, NJ for 33 years. He was a member of the 69th Street Athletic Association where he served as coach and board member for 15 years. He also coached an adult fast pitch softball team for the Lynnewood League in Havertown to several championships.
He is survived by his wife Rosita Alleva (nee Alessandri), his sons Joseph and Lou (DeAnn), his granddaughter Morgan Morales, and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also survived by his feline friend, Sassy and his new buddy, Harley.
