Marion Forcey

Marion E. (nee Vandegrift) Forcey, 88, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2021.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Phillip Forcey, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, her son, Steven Michael Forcey, her parents George & Helen Vandegrift (nee Haring) and her brothers George F. Vandegrift, Jr. and William J. H. Vandegrift

Marion was an active member of  Woodlyn Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, participated in the “Keenager” fellowship events and enjoyed hosting bible study in her home. She graduated from West Philadelphia High School.  She was a former member of the Leiper Church in Swarthmore, PA.  She had previously worked for Penn Railroad.

She is survived by her loving sons, Richard (Maria) and Ronald (Linda) Forcey, her adoring grandchildren Richard P. Forcey II, Frank (Theresa), Carl (Kristen), Matthew (Christine) Salerno, cherished great grandchildren Jack, Benjamin, Landon, Peyton, Addison, Savanna, Graham, Alec & Lee,  sister Doris Mitchell Joyce and many nieces & nephews.   Marion was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved any time that she got to spend with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, April 3, 2021  from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Woodlyn Baptist Church 1125 MacDade Blvd., Woodlyn, PA followed by Marion’s 11:00 AM Memorial Service.  Interment will be private.

Masks are to be worn when visiting the family, to the Funeral Service and Social Distancing is to be observed.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Marion’s memory.
