Marjorie Jones

August 9, 1932 — November 16, 2017

Marjorie J. Jones (nee Meaney), age 85, of Newtown Square, formerly of Aldan, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2017.

Marjorie was the devoted wife of the late Arthur C. Jones, the loving mother of Mary Beckert (Scott), Anne Schoultz (Gregory), Marjorie Lynch (Matthew), Arthur Jones, Jr. (Susie), Thomas Jones (Honor), and Patricia Kelly (Kevin), and dear sister of Jacqueline Shea (James). She was the cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and is survived by her beloved companion, Pat Chiacchiere. Marjorie was pre-deceased by her siblings Marie Knightly (Bill) and Jim Meaney.

Margie was a kind, quiet, gentle soul who possessed a truly endless supply of love and support for her children and grandchildren. Always bright and chipper, she was quick-witted and set that wonderful example for her family. If she had a hobby, it was clothes! She took pride in her appearance and was tickled that her daughters did the same. She deeply loved her soul mate and husband of 50+ years, Art, whose special song for her was Johnny Mercer's "I Remember You." He would recite this lyric to her:

"When my life is through,

And the angels ask me to recall

The thrill of them all,

Then I shall tell them

I remember you."

She was looking forward to seeing him again when the time came.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 9-10 AM at St. John Neumann, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, 610-535-3100, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
