Marjorie Shane

Marjorie R. Shane (nee Lewis), age 84, of Lady Lakes, FL, formerly of Delaware County, PA, passed away on October 16, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vince and Alice (nee Gaul) Lewis. In her earlier years, Marjorie was employed with the Ridley School District in the Ridley High School cafeteria. After retirement and moving to Florida, she enjoyed playing pickleball, tennis, and golf, and her favorite places to visit were Disney and the Poconos. She was an avid line dancer, was a member of the MAC Club and part of the Mickey Fanatics. Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. "Bud" Shane; the loving mother of Deborah Zahra (Marc), Kathleen Opperman (Victor), and the late Charles "Buddy" Shane, Jr.; the dear sister of Vincent Lewis (Kathy), and the late Janet DeWitt; the devoted grandmother of Tara Zahra (William), Marc Zahra, Shane Opperman, and Sarah Opperman; and the cherished great-grandmother of Gwendolyn Zahra, Madelyn Zahra, and Eloisa Irvine. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Friday, October 19, 2018, 10 - 11 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA 19070, 610-544-0600, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
