Mary Rita Ash

Mary Rita Ash (nee Luongo), age 85, of Rutledge, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on September 23, 2022. She lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer which she was diagnosed with three years ago.

Born in South Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Josephine Luongo (nee Perri). Mary was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family and was the mom everyone wished they had. She was a lover of art, an artist and an art instructor most recently at the Schoolhouse Senior Center. And a crossing guard in Ridley.
She was a special person who touched many lives.

Mary was the wife of the late Thomas O. Ash.  Survived by her children, Steven Spittle, Jean Hudak (Chuck) and Maria Paris (Scot) as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Saturday, October 1, 2022, 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Avenue, Morton, PA 19070, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass to be livestreamed beginning at 11:00 AM at the following link: https://vimeo.com/event/2462737. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. A luncheon will be held following services.
