Mary C. Brophy (nee Byrne), 54, of West Chester, formerly of Upper Darby, passed away on December 22, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in 1961 in Darby, PA, Mary was the loving and devoted daughter of James J. Byrne and the late Helen (nee Springer).
Mary was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School and Immaculata College. She worked as the Sales Manager for Blue Moon Florist, where she formed many close-knit relationships with her colleagues and clients. Mary had a bright spirit and a kind heart, always giving of herself to others. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach, reading, baking, and antiquing.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kevin R. Brophy; the dear sister of Kate B. Murphy (Michael), James Byrne (Sherri), Beth Ann Ameche (Michael), and the late Kevin J. Byrne; also survived by nieces, Marlo & Shaena Murphy, Shannon Byrne, Serafina Ameche, and nephews, Matthew & Patrick Byrne.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-11:00 AM Saturday, December 26, 2015 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382 and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Int. SS Peter & Paul Cem.
