Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Duffy (née Stowell)

Mary Elizabeth “Sis” Duffy (née Stowell) passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on December 29, 2022 at Citizens Health Center in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Mary, better known to her friends and family as Sis, Mom and Granny, was the loving wife of the late John M. Duffy, Jr.  Sis was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Dunlap and brothers David and William. She is survived by her son John (Miriam), son Gregory, daughter Dolores Colvin (Drew), son Geoff (Donna), son Stephen (Michelle), daughter Bernadette Bressler (Dan) and Son-in-Law Charles Dunlap (the late Mary). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, love of adventure and fun spirit.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 9:30-11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2023  at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Int. SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 N. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132, msfocus.org, would be appreciated.
