Mary Katherine "Mary Kate" Fischer

Mary Katherine “Mary Kate” Fischer (née Harlan), age 43, of West Brandywine, PA, passed away on February 5, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of George and Kathleen (née Fanelli) Harlan.

Mary Kate was a graduate of The Agnes Irwin School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Gettysburg College. She was employed with Harlan Corporation and worked alongside her father. Mary Kate enjoyed her summers in Stone Harbor, NJ. She was a courageous and amazing fighter through her 20 plus year illness with MS.

Mary Kate was the beloved wife of Joseph Fischer; the loving mother of Cassidy Fischer; the dear sister of Brian Harlan (Meredith). Along with her parents, George and Kathleen Harlan, Mary Kate survived by her in-laws, Joseph, Sr. and Suzanne Fischer, her brother-in-law’s, Scott Fischer and Keith Fischer, as well as her nieces, Claire and Sarah, and nephews, Benjamin and Luke.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary Kate’s memory to St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355, would be appreciated.
