Mary Patricia Follman, born March 7, 1938, passed away peacefully at her “happy” place, Pop’s Sandcastle, surrounded by her family and beloved husband, Jack. Mary Pat was the fourth child of Florence (nee Hagerty) and John Alexander McCafferty. She is survived by her husband, John Sr. (Jack) of 63 years with whom they shared 7 children: John Jr. deceased, Patricia (Douglas Saylor Sr.), Joseph deceased (Lisa), Therese-Cecilia (Ken Ramondo), Eric (Nancy), Erin (Kyle Campbell) and Neal; 18 treasures: Douglas Saylor Jr., (Lizeida), Mary Patricia Saylor, Philip Saylor (Hilary), Alexander Ramondo Sr., John Follman III, Steffen Ramondo, Brynne Follman, Kenneth Ramondo, Eric Follman Jr., Hannah Follman, Cassie Follman, Moira Follman, Nikki Ramondo, Emma Follman, Luke Follman, Ian Campbell, Kiera Campbell and Nolan Campbell; 6 treasured great-grandchildren: Mollie Saylor, Ryan Saylor, Eloise Saylor, Alexander Ramondo Jr.,Maria Patricia Saylor, and Kieran Saylor; brothers: Robert McCafferty Sr., and Gerard McCafferty (Bonnie) and sisters-in-laws: Rita McCafferty and Barbara McCafferty; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Therese Connell (James), her brother, John McCafferty, and her Goddaughter, TeseConnell. Mary Pat was the Matriarch of the McCafferty Clan and author of the McCafferty Hagerty Family History. 

Mary Pat attended St. Laurence Elementary School and West Catholic High School where she is a member of the West Catholic Hall of Fame. She was proud of her Irish heritage and visited the towns of her ancestors. Mary Pat and Jack traveled throughout the United States and visited 6 continents. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.    

Mary Pat was a dedicated volunteer and supporter at SS. Simon and Jude Elementary School, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Religious Education at St. Katharine of Siena’s, The Smile Train, and Habitat for Humanity. She was a champion for the “underdog”. 

Please remember Mary Pat’s words: “Good, better, best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is your best”. 

Mary Pat would like all to remember that “Pretty is as pretty does”.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at St. Katharine of Siena, 104 S Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. The Mass will be livestreamed at 11:00 AM at this link. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
