Mary ("Bonnie") Henderson died peacefully on December 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was 100 years young.
Mary was born and raised in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Catherine (nee Carlin) and Daniel Bonner, both Irish immigrants.
Mary was the devoted wife of the late Allan J. Henderson, Jr., who left us too soon in 1971.
She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses. Norita and John Heim, Catherine and William Connor, Maryanne and David Patterson.
Known as Nana to her five loving grandchildren, Daniel Heim (Amy), Jack Heim (Lindsay), Patrick Heim (Lisa), Sara Connor Grisanti (Stephen) and Kevin Connor.
Mary is also survived by her five great-grandsons and many caring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings John Bonner, Teresa Byrne, Daniel Bonner and Grace Watson.
Mary lived in Wayne for the last 52 years. In addition to being a full time mother and wonderful friend to many, she worked for 17 years at Villanova University. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She also loved reading and music. Her radio was always tuned to NPR.
She kept current with world events and enjoyed lively conversations and an occasional glass of red wine with friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, December 21, 2018 from
8:30 AM-9:50 AM at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
