Mary Theresa Kerrigan

Mary Theresa “Marie” Kerrigan, age 85, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on November 8, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Anthony and Elizabeth Verotirca (née Henderson) Lavin. Marie was a Travel Agent before becoming a long-time Bookeeper for Honeywell Protection Agency. She enjoyed old movies, going to the beach and dancing the jitter bug. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing puzzles and all kinds of games with her family. Most of all Marie loved being a Mom "Mom-Mom and GiGi". She was a strong and independent woman and a guiding star for three generations of family. She was always there for those who needed her.

Marie was the loving mother of Joseph Kerrigan, Brian Kerrigan (Kari Altman), Elizabeth Santilli (Robert), and preceded in death by her beloved daughter Coleen Kerrigan;  devoted grandmother of Billy Formica (Chelsea), Kristin Formica, Drew Formica, Shane Kerrigan (Ashley), Aly Kerrigan, Christian Santilli (Caroline) and Caroline Santilli; caring great-grandmother of Isabella Kerrigan, Aiden Gilbert, Jackson Batch, Leyla Formica, Rowan Formica, and Jaylen Batch. Marie was predeceased by her siblings, James Lavin and Regina Lavin.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA  19064.
