Mary D. King

Mary Denise "DeDe" King, 88, of Exton, PA, passed away October 2, 2024.

Born May 30, 1936 in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Samuel and Mary Elizabeth (nee Glackin) Diedrich.

DeDe was a graduate of The Ohio State University. Throughout her marriage, she and John lived in Columbus, Ohio, Elmhurst, Illinois, and eventually Wayne, Pennsylvania. Along with cheering on the kid's sports interests, she enjoyed staying active, playing tennis into her eighties. She was an avid sports fan who spent many hours managing the Phillies, Eagles and Cubs as well as various tennis players. She was a voracious reader who loved mysteries.

DeDe was the beloved wife of the late John Richard King; loving mother of Leslie Bokoski (John), Denise Travis (Ken), and John King; adoring grandmother of Samantha Kimber (Josh), Karen Walters (Richard), Kelsi Travis, Sara Travis (Scott), Kenny Travis (Madison), Megan Holmes (Brian), Santana King, Abel King, and Allison King; and proud great-grandmother of Henry Kimber, Peter Walters, and Willow Holmes.

Services will be private.
