Mary Lord

Mary Theresa Lord, age 89, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on February 9, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Leo Lord. Loving mother of Jerry Lord, Mary Carnesi (Mike), Eileen Pierson (John), Thomas Leo Lord (Theresa), Jack Lord (Felicia), the late Jacquelyn Fulton (Larry), Patrick Lord (Dawn) and Kevin Lord (Jennifer). Sister to Kathleen, Bridge, Padraic, Lena, Jack, Anthony, the late Bernie, and Ursula.    Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mary embodied love in every sense of the word.  The home she built was not simply four walls and a roof – it was an open door to any and every one that stepped over its threshold.  For her family was everything and everyone she met were immediately members.  She treasured holidays, visits to her homeland to visits siblings, Sunday breakfasts, and every surprise pop-in for tea- welcoming each equally with her sweet smile and warm genuine embrace.  She is the Irish blessing that will be passed for generations.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday 9:30-10:50 AM St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM where Covid protocol will be observed.  Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
