Mary Paytas

Mary “Pammy” Paytas (nee Garvin), 88, of Holmes, Pa passed away on February 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late George Paytas, Jr. and daughter of the late William and Mary (nee Sim) Garvin.

Pammy loved cooking, especially making soups, watching movies, reading, taking day trips, dining out, making others laugh, bringing joy wherever she went and to whoever she encountered. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church for 40 years where she wrote plays, took care of the costumes and was in the choir. What Pammy enjoyed most though was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of David J. Paytas, Joseph M. Paytas, Michael J. Paytas (Christina) and Linda Hahn (Marty).Pammy was also the adoring grandmother of David Paytas, the late Michael Paytas, Chris Hahn, Ashley Hahn, Grace Paytas and Aiden Paytas. She was the caring sister of Bill Garvin and the late Jim Garvin and Patricia Stasis.

Family and friends are invited to Pammy’s Visitation on Sunday February 20, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, Pa 19070 and on Monday February 21, 2022 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic 2310 S. 24th St. Philadelphia, Pa 19145 followed by her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
