Mary Ruoss

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Ruoss, 92, of Elverson, PA, passed away October 7, 2020.

Born June 6, 1928 in Smyrna, DE, she was a daughter of the late Albert Stanley and Pearl Mildred (nee Lewis) Weatherby. She attended Collingdale High School. After raising her children she owned her own Antique business for many years and was also an avid gardener.

Betty was the loving wife of the late Thomas J. McMenamin and the late John Ruoss; loving mother of Thomas J. McMenamin Jr., Michael A. McMenamin (Marilyn), Patricia A. Berk (David), and Jeffrey McMenamin; adoring grandmother of David A. Berk, Jr. (Connie), Michael J. Berk (Amanda), Megan Moody (Seamus), Michael McMenamin, and Matthew McMenamin (Brunilda); adoring great-grandmother of Owen Berk, Carley Berk, Parker Berk, Westyn Berk, Eliza Moody, and Lucinda McMenamin; and dear sister of Dorothy Tapper (Ken) and Edward Weatherby (Mary). She was predeceased by her brothers Stanley Weatherby and Frank Deane.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday October 14, 2020 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by her Graveside Service at Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
