Mary Helen Taylor, 83, of West Chester, formerly of Audubon PA, passed away on May 30, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born May 11, 1941, in Upper Darby to the late Edmund and Helen (nee Murphy) Boyle. Mary was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy. She worked in interior design and as a banker.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, George L Taylor; her son, Ronald; and her sister, Patricia Miller (Harv). She leaves behind her children Kevin Taylor (Christine), Anne Lamb (Michael), and Karen Lithgow (Ted). Mary is also survived by her grandchildren Heather (Rafael), Derek (Corine), Andrew (Amber), Brian (Jessica), Jonathan, Jenna, Payton, Dylan, Meghan, and Blair (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Lyle, Finley, Ford, Jackson, and Sawyer; siblings, Vince Boyle (Patricia), Joe Boyle (Bobbi), Kathleen McCune, Christine Anderson (Tom); many nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends.
Mary lived life to the fullest. She exuded positivity. As one of her grandchildren said, “She is the happiest person on the face of the earth!” Everywhere she went Mary made friends, sharing her infectious smile, helping hand, and loving compassion. To know her was to love her. She touched many lives, and you were blessed to have her in yours.
Mary loved many things that began with the letter “F”: family, fashion, films, finance, food, friends, and fun! She was an avid shopper with an affinity for jewelry and a good bargain. Mary also had a fondness for movies. Her family often joked that she should get a job as a movie critic. Mary enjoyed going out to eat. Over the years, she spent many Friday evenings with George and friends at the Westover Country Club and shared many breakfast meals with friends and family at Nudy’s. Mary was also active in the Audubon Women’s Club, helping to organize the annual Fashion Show.
Mary loved to travel. She and George went on many vacations, and especially enjoyed their trips throughout the Europe, the Panama Canal, Thailand, Alaska, and Hawaii. Although Mary enjoyed traveling around the world, her favorite place to be was with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
