Mary Walls

Mary Theresa “Mom” Walls, 91, of Aston, PA (longtime resident of Briarcliffe) passed away on December 30, 2020, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward J. Walls, first born son Edward and her parents William and Mary (nee Hinphey) Young.

Mary was proud of her childhood roots growing up in a section of North Philadelphia known as Swampoodle, a neighborhood that she said was made up of neighbors who knew each other and each others kids. She was a full time homemaker, in addition to having a long career as a billing manager for Physical Therapy Associates of Philadelphia and in bank administration for IVB bank in Upper Darby. In her later years she enjoyed family time, cross stitching, solving puzzles, and reading mystery novels. She loved the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was kind and caring to all she came to know, always willing to listen, provide words of wisdom, and a shoulder to lean on.

Mom is survived by her loving children Mary (Dot), Bill (Kathy), Daniel, James, Theresa, Charles and Eileen Penza (Nick), 10 adoring grandchildren and 5 wonderful great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM on Friday January 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Church 3255 Concord Rd. Aston, PA 19014. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery 626 Baily Rd. Yeadon, PA 19050.
