Mary E. Walsh

Mary E. Walsh, age 92, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on October 3, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary E. (nee McPeak) Mullen.

Mary was a 1949 graduate of West Catholic High School. After high school she graduated from Delaware County College where she got her Real Estate License. Mary was a Realtor in Delaware County for 25 years. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Church for over 50 years where she was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and a 50 year member of the Altar Society. Mary also belonged to St. Andrew Seniors Club.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late John R. “Jack” Walsh for 62 wonderful years and loving mother of Mary DeMarco (the late Frank), Margaret “Peg” Carroll (Michael), Elizabeth “Betty” Christians (Gerald), Dr. John “Jack” Walsh (Lisa), Daniel Walsh (Maureen), and Joseph Walsh. She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her brother Henry Mullen (the late Rita). Predeceased by her siblings Jack Mullen (Ginny) and Elizabeth Creed (Denny).

Mary’s viewing will be Wednesday October 11^th from 6-8pm at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.  Thursday October 12^th there will be a viewing from 9:45 -10:45am at St Andrew the Apostle, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, Pa.  Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
